South Dakota CARES is now LSS Week of Giving.
In tribute to our first donation day in the spring of 1921, which marked the opening of our first service line, the House of Mercy, LSS hosts its annual week of giving each April. Previously known as South Dakota CARES, in 2026, the annual fundraising effort will be rebranded LSS Week of Giving. The new name will more accurately reflect our goals and more closely tie your generosity with our mission-focused organization.
In 2025, more than $286,500 was raised from 220 donors. Your sponsorship of our annual week of giving means your generosity is put to work where it is needed most in our communities. You can play an active role in our vision to ensure that all people in South Dakota are healthy, safe and accepted.
