January is National Mentoring Month
Lutheran Social Services School-Based Mentor Program, The Dharma Room, Tryon Gym and Bodyworks Fitness Center are celebrating National Mentoring Month by providing new volunteer mentors with a way to benefit both the community and their individual health.
Volunteers who are accepted and complete orientation for the mentor program in January are eligible for a free, 4-week power yoga course at The Dharma Room or a month's membership to any Tryon Gym or Bodyworks Fitness Center location.
Presently there are over 1000 mentor-student relationships in 29 elementary, middle, and high schools in and around Sioux Falls. Even with this tremendous support, hundreds of students in and around Sioux Falls want or need a caring, adult mentor.
This New Year, make it your resolution to change someone else's life.
