Every year thousands of people of all ages, races, faiths and economic situations come to LSS for help. It is in these troubling and tumultuous times, that faith, hope and conviction are needed the most. We are all anxious about the future; so much seems beyond our control. But there is one thing that we can control-today and each day forward. We can believe in the power of possibility.
At Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota, we have the incredible blessing of witnessing the power of possibility each and every time that we touch the life of someone in need. Possibility-a life changing power because someone believed in them, saw within them what they could not see on their own, inspired them with hope, and had the conviction to stick with them.
This past year, with careful listening and constructive guidance, we witnessed the power of possibility more than 54,000 times. The work of LSS and the possibility that it brings to the world would not happen without the prayers and gifts that so many bring to our ministry. Gifts to LSS of SD and the LSS Foundation are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Both organizations are 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organizations.
In very troubling times, Lutheran Social Services continues to be committed to the power of possibility. We hope that you share our conviction that faith and hope will abound and that our ministry will continue to reach those in need, helping individuals and families experience growth, begin to thrive, belong to something bigger, and succeed in their personal goals.
